Mercedes-Benz Museum - Virtual Tour

The Mercedes-Benz Museum is an automobile museum that covers the history of the Mercedes-Benz brand and its associated brands. The museum honors the automobile invented by Carl Benz in 1886 and his legacy.

The exhibits of Mercedes-Benz’s history tell the story in the context of technology, social history, and popular culture.

The museum, which is located near the Daimler factory in Stuttgart, contains over 160 vehicles. The vehicles exhibited start at the very earliest days of the motorcar engine and continue to the legendary racing cars and futuristic research vehicles.

Audio tours are available in a variety of languages, and visitors are offered the opportunity to take a tour of the nearby engine factory that produces many of the company’s diesel engines.

The company’s origins derive from Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft’s 1901 Mercedes and Karl Benz’s 1886 Benz Patent-Motorwagen, the first internal combustion engine in a self-propelled automobile.
