The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum is located in the West End of the city, on the banks of the River Kelvin. It is situated near the main campus of the University of Glasgow.
There is a myth in Glasgow that the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum building was accidentally built back-to-front. This is only an urban myth. The grand entrance was always intended to face into Kelvingrove Park
