The Carolinas Aviation Museum is based on the grounds of the Charlotte Douglas International Airport in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The museum was founded in 1992 and has a collection of over 50 aircraft and many artifacts related to aviation.
Most of the collection consists of Cold War military aircraft. Some of the Aircraft have come from the Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point and Marine Corps Air Station New River.
In 2019, the museum closed to the public, and it is developing plans for a new location with a planned re-opening in 2022.
