Arab American National Museum

The Arab American National Museum in Dearborn, Michigan, is the first museum in the world devoted to Arab American history and culture. The Museum exhibits the Arab American story through exhibits while seeking to dispel misconceptions about Arab Americans.

The Museum’s mission is to document, celebrate, and educate the public on the history, life, culture, and contributions of Arab Americans.

The museum’s exhibits primary focus is on:

• The contributions of the Arab civilization to science, medicine, mathematics, architecture, and the decorative arts
• The Arab experience in America, including a gallery about prominent Arab-Americans
• Documents and artifacts from Arab Americans related to the immigration experience
• The stories of Arab Americans portrayed in video or audio recordings
• Arab American and Arab Art

 The museum is part of the Smithsonian Affiliations and serves to enhance the understanding of Arab Americans in the United States.
