Addis Ababa Museums
Addis Ababa is the capital and largest city of Ethiopia and as a chartered city, Addis Ababa has the status of both a city and a state. It is where the African Union is based and it also hosts the headquarters of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and numerous other continental and international organizations.
A permanent fortified city was established in Addis Ababa during the early-to-mid 15th century, and it served as the main residence of several successive emperors. With this long and diverse history, Addis Ababa has many fascinating museums and historic sites of interest.
