Philly Fashion Expo Launch Party

On Thursday, June 27, media, fashion bloggers, fashion designers, and models all came together at Fire and Ice in Old City to kick off the Philly Fashion Expo Launch Party. Coming this September 14 and 15, the Philadelphia Fashion Trade Expo will unite phases of the fashion industry with a goal to create commerce, business, and job development in the region by merging different contributing divisions of the fashion world. Local designers will be able to gain exposure to potential manufactures and consumers will be able to purchase from retailers. The event will feature six fashion shows, six concerts, a retail vending mall, industry guest speakers, special celebrity appearances,  and more. The expo largely emphasizes the concept of 360 Degrees of Fashion, which is referred to as a “new economic force.”
“360 Degrees of Fashion is all about bringing fashion designers, fashion retailers, manufacturers and the buying public into one venue for two days of fashion, music, buying, children, families, beautiful people and the city of Philadelphia,” explained Ron Wilch, CEO of the Fashion Lab Philadelphia, a product and marketing agency, and proclaimed “Fashion Czar.”
“I’m looking forward to seeing people coming together,” told Wilch, “the communities…the Hispanic community, the black community, the white community and the city of Philadelphia, coming together for two days of entertainment and  jump starting the economy.”
In addition to connecting with the public,  the Philly Fashion Expo will also be partnering with the Best Work Industries for the Blind, a non-profit organization that provides industry job training and placement for the blind, which they hope to raise a large monetary donation.
The party was bustling with stylish guests, passionate staff, and gorgeous models displaying just a sneak peak of fashion from the expo’s talented designers, to create a truly memorable event.
