DON'T wear all red. A pop of color can go a long way. Whether it's your favorite pair of pumps or a vintage clutch, a small piece in your outfit can define your personality.

DO go minimal on the make-up. Less is More. Although make-up colors and styles may trend, men love to see a natural beauty.

DON'T rule out staying in. Many restaurants are overcrowded, more expensive, and have a limited menu on Valentine's Day. Stay in with your honey. Cook something together that you both would like and enjoy a fancy meal at home.

DO change V-Day date night. Go to your favorite restaurant the weekend before or after. Avoid the crowds and wait times.

DON'T forget him. If you exchange gifts go for something unique. Burn a CD, give a subscription to favs like pandora, NetFlix, or a magazine.

DO celebrate if your single. Have a night with friends you love. Give a gift, watch a movie, and share a laugh over martini's.
