WokWorks has Free Beer Every Wednesday

WokWorks has free beer and food specials every Wednesday. Yes you read that right, free bear.

Starting today, Wednesday, July 9th, and continuing every Wednesday, WokWorks will be pouring free draft beer (until the keg runs out) from 5 – 10 p.m. The food specials are not bad either including $2 slider buns, $3 dumplings, $5 tropicalia wings and more.

Beers are limited to 3 per person so get there early.

Ursula Rucker to be Featured at the Tiberino Art Salon on July 12th

Ursula Rucker will be the featured artist at the next Tiberino Art Salon on July 12th. Ursula, the renowned poet and spoken word artist, is known for her strong poetic presence and has worked with greats such as King Britt and The Roots.
As usual there will be a wealth of artwork on display by various guest artists along with an eclectic crowd of artists, musicians, and art lovers to mingle amongst. The salon will be held this coming Saturday, July 12th from 3pm-8pm. A suggested donation of $10 will be collected at the door which will go towards the upkeep of the museum. We thank you for your continued support of the museum and look forward to seeing you soon.

The Philadelphia Geek Awards are back and you can see the nominees below and here.  This years awards are once again presented by Geekadelphia and the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University.

This year’s black-tie, red-carpet event will take place at the Academy on Saturday, August 16th. Doors will open at 6:30pm (cocktail hour!) and the ceremony kicks off at 8pm. Ticket prices will be announced soon, and you’ll be able to get your tickets on FRIDAY, AUGUST 1ST. So mark your calendars, and make sure you visit

This year’s after party will once again take place at North Bowl, and we’ll have some more details about that soon. Expect good times, drink specials, and more.
